Сonstantine Konovalov is an expert in urban and transportation design and the founder of a professional design team based in Tel Aviv. His team specializes in developing innovative transportation schemes, wayfinding systems, and UX/UI solutions for public transit projects around the world.
For several years, I’ve been working alongside Constantine, contributing to impactful design solutions that improve urban mobility and public transit experiences globally.
Transit map design
As a UX-designer within the design team, I contributed to the development of public transit and road maps for various cities in Israel. This included the Tel Aviv Metro and Light Rail map, designed to simplify navigation within the city’s future transit network, the Nes Tziona bus map, which improved local bus experience, and a detailed project map for the construction company Trans Israel, showcasing large-scale road infrastructure developments.
In 2024, our team achieved a significant milestone by winning a government tender from Netivei Ayalon, the state-owned company overseeing Israel’s transportation development, to design official maps that will guide future urban mobility initiatives.
The first bus wayfinding system in Almaty
Our team collaborated with Attitude Design Consulting (Singapore) to develop the first comprehensive wayfinding system for bus transit network at Almaty, Kazakhstan, aimed at improving navigation and accessibility for both residents and visitors.
Through in-depth UX research on local mobility challenges, we created a user-centered system that included design templates for bus stop signage and a detailed design guide to ensure consistent implementation across the city. This project marked a significant step toward making public transportation in Almaty more intuitive and efficient.
